Delete your Khatamel account
This page explains how to delete your account and exactly what happens to your data.
How to delete your account
You can do it yourself, in the app or on the website. It takes effect immediately.
- 1Open Khatamel and sign in with your mobile number and PIN.
- 2Go to the Settings tab.
- 3Scroll to Delete account at the bottom.
- 4Read what will be removed, enter your PIN, and confirm.
If you cannot sign in, write to sharnam.infosystem@gmail.com from the mobile number on the account and we will delete it for you.
What is deleted
- Your account: your name, mobile number and PIN. You can no longer sign in.
- The groups you own, and every entry in them.
- The single users you created, and their entries.
- Your own entries, your tags, your custom fields and the photos or PDFs attached to deleted entries.
- Your bills (invoices, quotations, purchase bills and the rest), your item list and your business details.
- Any read-only report links you shared, so they stop working at once.
- Your notification registrations, on every device.
This is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no recovery.
What is kept, and why
- Entries in a group somebody else owns. If you were a member of another person’s group, the entries there stay in that group’s history. Removing them would silently change that group’s balances for everyone else in it. Your name is replaced with “Deleted user” on them.
- Records of payments you made. What was charged, when, and for which plan. We keep these as a financial record. They carry no name and no mobile number once your account is gone.
